Stevens Cast Iron BANG-O 3rd Model in nickel & engraved with the large wonderfully designed Grips bearing Jewels. Most of these had the small grips, no jewel & no engraving. It comes with the original box, which is a bit rough due to wear on the one side and missing its end flaps. J. & E. Stevens was established in 1843 in Cromwell, Conn. and came to be known for its Cast Iron Mechanical Figural Banks & its Incredible Quality Cap Guns - all of which are highly desirable. The Cap Gun is in Very Good to Excellent Condition - its Grips & Jewels are in Incredible Condition, especially when one considers its age. It works well & is ready for a roll of caps. It measures 7 1/2 inches. I have the hammer cocked in the images to show that it works fine - the hammer is flush with the gun body when fired and at rest. A great Addition to any great Vintage Cap Gun Collection, Western Memorabilia Collection or it would make for a very happy child, if received as a gift.
