Description: This is a rare 1938 First Edition View-Master Model A Viewer with 2 Rivets and Large Lenses. This viewer has the patent number on the bottom. It is in excellent condition with minimal warpage (please see pictures), however Unfortunately, all of these model A viewers now have some warpage, some more than others. None of them actually work well any more due to their age and the softness of the early molds made of Tenite plastic which warp over time. check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenite View-Master knew they had a problem and then came up with the model B made of Bakelite plastic which was way more durable. The early years of View-Master were a work in progress. The early model A's are more of a museum piece rather than an actual working viewer.
