Description: Offering a vintage and rare 1930's RESLO Model VMC Dynamic Microphone. Reslosound, also known as Reslo were British manufacturers of electrical musical equipment. In particular they were very well known for the RB Ribbon Microphone, sometimes referred to as the "Beatles Mic" as they were used a often in their Cavern Club performances in Liverpool. (See last photo of Beatles Pete Best singing on the VMC!) This VMC model being sold here was one of the company's first microphones, and marketed mainly for "on location" reporting. For a handheld mic, it's quite heavy due to the massive iron permanent inside. (see photo.) The mic head is in good shape, a heavy cast aluminum casing with a nice chromed grill. Below the head is the working on-off switch, then the the wooden mic handle. Overall, this piece measures just about a foot long, and all in generally good condition. Best of all, this classic mic still works with strong output, but only recommended for voice as the fidelity favors midrange with a low end roll-off. The original 4 foot cable is on good shape with male XLR plug. (We can swap the XLR plug for a 1/4" male phono plug at no charge.) ** Audio sample available upon request. Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping. ** ** WE BUY OLD MICROPHONES...INVENTORY REGULARLY UPDATED **** Click on my eBay username for details. (Text or call.) With a life-long career in major market broadcast radio in the imaging/audio production field, I continue to buy, sell, collect and restore vintage microphones, primarily from the 1930's through the 1970's.
