RARE, 1918 antique Art Fabric Mills, Standish NY, "Improved Foot Cloth Doll"

Description: Celebrating the American history of dolls.... Here is a very rare and wonderful, all original, antique printed cloth doll by Art Fabric Mills, c1918, and distributed by Elms & Sellon Co., N.Y. This beauty was part of the Standish "No Brake" line of color printed on heavy linen-like canvas dolls and shown on page 17, "Playthings by the Yard"-Whitton. Measuring 17" tall, she wears printed on, onesie-style undies with lace, ribbon and button trim, red stockings and black, high buttoned boots. She has beautiful long blond curls cascading down to her shoulders and held with a large printed red ribbon and bow. She has pretty blue eyes, eyelashes and brows and nice nose along with an open smiling mouth showing her teeth and rosy cheeks. Her hands have printed fingers and she wears an adorable original, striped cotton frock with red trim and sash along with three small, antique gold matching baby pins. She is in extremely good overall condition as she celebrates her 100 year anniversary with some slight wear to the bottom of one boot and a rust stain around her nose! (could use a few small stitches at the crotch where the heavy cotton stuffing can be seen) (loc 90) She has no other damages or odors as she is from a smoke free home.
