Best known for emancipating the serfs in 1861, however, Alexander II was a reformer whose influence in Russia is still apparent today. The artist did a superb job of capturing the moment in this engraving, richly detailed and poignant. Engraving is landscape and measures approximately 7 1/2" wide x 5" tall.
