Description: Here is a very nice and rare old commemorative medal made of copper, I believe, in quite splendid condition overall, measuring app. 1 & 1/2" across, with a plain edge. This attractive fraternal piece shows hardly any wear, with only some tiny imperfections barely noticed, and I have not cleaned or altered its appearance in any manner. If it ever was cleaned, I honestly don't know, the obverse having a slightly filmier look that the more reflective reverse. I have had this a long time and haven't touched it myself, and, really, I also haven't seen another in many years of collecting. The obverse features a crossed compass and angle enclosing a radiant letter "G" at the center, branches of two different species at the sides behind, that at the right oak leaves with acorns. The reverse has a small crossed compass and angle at the top, and beneath is "Hommage - De FFF :. MAC :. - D' Europe - A Leurs TTT :. CCC :. FFF :. - Des Etats-Unis D' Amerique", with a small star with a human face at the bottom flanked by the dates "5776" and "5876". Superb. $180.
