Description: Blum's Farmers' and Planters' Almanac, for the Year 1864: Being Bisextile or Leap Year Containing 366 Days, Calculated by David Richardson of Louisa County, Va. [CONFEDERATE IMPRINT] By David Richardson Published: Salem, N.C., Published and sold by L.V. & E.T. Blum, [1863]. 17, [1] pages. Soft cover bound in tied printed wrappers. The binding is worn but sound. There is a smalls stab hole at the top left corner near the spine. The spine is a bit frayed and chipped. The binding is soiled from handling and the paper is toned. The text shows foxing, as is normal. Page 2 has a pencil inscription reading "John Mickel's Almanac." Page 9 has early writing at the bottom and the fore edges. The inscription in the bottom margin appears to read, "Georgia Womack died(?) July the 12th, 1864. her brother Henry has.(?) .(?) sick." The inscription on the fore edge is not especially legible. A sound copy of a scarce Confederate Imprint and North Carolina almanac. Housed in a removable mylar bag with a board backing. CONFEDERATE imprint - PARRISH & WILLINGHAM 5186. Not Ex-Lib. I've done my best to describe the book, but if you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to send me an e-mail.
