Rare 1848 St. Petersburg XlX Wood, 84 Neillo Silver and Copper Urn. Measures approx. 6" H x 2 1/2" W.Highly decorated with Silversmith Alexander Kordes, St. Petersburg XIX Circa 1848Wood urn. The mouth is decorated with Niello Silver pattern. Condition: This is a very old piece and shows a stress area to the wood in the neck and mouth. Overall condition is very good. No missing silver decor pieces. The niello decoration at the mouth is loose but doesn't come off. Note: Descriptions are to the best of my knowledge as I'm not an expert. Item is from a relative’s estate of a life-long collection of early Canadian, American and Russian antiques and collectibles purchased from mid 1900s on.
