Description: This is a spectacular mug celebration the coronation in 1837 of Queen Victoria who was crowned Queen of England when she was only 18. The mug was created by a master potter and is very finely detailed and molded. The light Rockingham glaze is spattered on the mug with the yellow ware clay showing through. This is the only mug I’ve ever found that was not dipped and completely covered with Rockingham glaze. I prefer this version. Measuring 6” in height by 3 ¾” across the rim, the mug is in near mint condition with only a flat chip on the underside that doesn’t detract when upright and no other damage or repairs. This is a very rare and spectacular yellow ware mug.
