This is the actual numbered Folio # 8 New Testament Great Bible Leaf from the Magnificent Great Bible-November, 1540-Richard Grafton-London. Darlow and Moule # 34. There are 65 Lines to the inch, as called for. This Leaf is From The Gospel of Matthew This Leaf contains: The Matthew Text from 16:16 through 19:13. 3 nice Woodcuts with this Leaf- the enlarged first letters of Chapters 17, 18 and 19. This beautiful Leaf is from the fourth Impression of the Great Bible- The General date is 1541 but recorded as published in November, 1540. Large Folio-15 1/4" by 10 3/8"- 2 Column Black Letter. Many Years before First Printing of KJV-During the Reign of King Henry 8. This is a tremendous opportunity to own an early Edition Great Bible leaf Condition: some light browning-couple of spots- edges very good-inside slightly trimmed- great leaf. I see a wormhole and a little edge darkening. Please view the photos-They give a good idea of condition. 484 years old!!
