On leaving Art College he spent some years teaching at Brathay Hall Outward Bound Centre on the shores of Windermere. He then went on to run his own Gallery and Art Shop with his wife in Ambleside. For many years now he has worked as a full time professional artist.Although a lot of his work is based on the Lake District landscape, he also spends much of his time on painting trips in Europe and beyond.
