Description: Late 18th / early 19th century Arabic manuscript of the Qur'an, the holy book of Islam. There are around 1000 pages (around 500 leaves). Each page measures 30 cm by 19 cm, and the entire text block weighs exactly 1 kg (11.81 inches by 7.48 inches, 2.2 lbs). From my understanding this script is in the traditional Uthmani style of Arabic calligraphy, often used in manuscripts of the Qur'an. The marginalia (notes in the margins) are likely commentary or explanations related to the Qur'anic text. I’m not sure if this manuscript is complete or missing some pages. 85% of pages are in mostly good condition, other 15% fragile and damaged as seen on pictures. The paper is really thin and it breaks easily. Please see all pictures for overall condition.
