Description: Up for bid is a wonderful vintage postcard. This card was sent by the Question Editor of the QUIZ KIDS TV show that aired in the early 1950s. It's a thank-you to the viewer who submitted a question for the contestants on the show. When you supersize image 1 you will see the some of the brilliant kids who were contestants on the show, along with the show's host, Joe Kelly. "Questions were posed to the kids, who raised their hands to answer. The questions were sent to the show by home people. If a question was answered incorrectly, the home person won a prize; otherwise, they won a consolation prize. For each correct answer, points were awarded based on the question's difficulty. The three kids with the highest scores (originally two) returned on the next show. Each kid received a $100 savings bond for each of their appearances."
