On the third day, she visited several locations in Los Angeles before hosting a reception aboard her yacht and retiring there. During the night, the yacht sailed to Santa Barbara, where on the fourth day the Queen met with President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan at their ranch before returning to her yacht for the night. During the night, the yacht sailed to San Francisco, where, on the fifth day, the Queen went to Stanford University and the Silicon Valley before returning to the de Young Museum in San Francisco for a dinner hosted by President and Mrs. Reagan. Following dinner, the Queen returned to her yacht for the night. On the sixth day, the Queen flew to Sacramento on the US Presidential aircraft for ceremonies at the state capitol and then flew back to San Francisco for a reception at the British Consul General's residence before returning to her yacht for a black tie dinner. After spending the night aboard the yacht, the Queen, on day seven, flew from San Francisco to Castle Air Force Base to tour Yosemite National Park. She spent the night at the Ahwahnee Hotel. On the eighth day, the Queen left Yosemite to go to Castle Air Force Base to fly to Seattle, Washington for several ceremonies. She left Seattle on her yacht to go to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, thus ending her visit to the United States.
