Description: Up for sale is what I believe to be a privative wooden hand carved doll. I bought her at a second hand store in Ipswich Mass. as an antique in the late 1970's. From what I understand she was found while cleaning out an old barn in Salem, Mass and was came with a card that said - privative wood carved doll 1920's to 1930's (Ipswich, Mass. was once considered to be a part of Salem, Mass. so this made sense to me. I was raised in Beverly, Mass. which borderlines Salem, Mass. and growing up I was fascinated with our history. I found her to be so unique-I have never seen another like her - this does not mean they don't exist-just my personal experience. What I was most drawn to was her eyes-There is a hole in the back of her head and if you flick a lighter -the flame makes her eyes glow. Kind of creepy but very cool for an 18 yr. old at the time. Anyway, I need to downsize and finally ready to let go and hope someone else will enjoy having her. This doll is 13" Tall and about 2 " Wide.
