Prince's Trust BBC Classic Tracks Westwood One Radio Show #96-06 with Cue Sheets

Description: Radio shows were first syndicated on reel to reel tape, later on LP stereo discs, then CD's and now digitally. Collectors can no longer get their hands on this quality material so the surviving shows that are available will keep going up and up in value. These radio shows were never intended for public use & most were either returned to the manufacturer or destroyed after use, so they're very difficult to find. Founded in 1976 by Norman Pattiz, the original Westwood One was one of the largest producers and distributors of radio programming in the United States. Based in New York City, they broadcast entertainment, news, weather, sports, talk, and traffic programming to about 7,700 radio stations across the United States. In January 1981 Pattiz started recording live concerts for broadcast and became a leader in live broadcasts and concert recordings for radio until May, 2011. Westwood One was most notable for its coverage of live events, and on-location recording of concerts allowing them to provide live music to fans around the country. In October of 2011 Westwood One merged with Triton Media Group to form the current Westwood One. BBC Classic Tracks is a production of the Westwood One Radio Networks and each disc contains the custom Westwood One logo on the front. This show comes with the complete detailed cue sheet and is in Like New condition. This episode features live recordings from the 1987 Prince's Trust Concert at London's Wembley Arena and was broadcast in February, 1996. This weekly show was designed to feature one exclusive live track a day broadcast over one week for five consecutive days. Tracks are: "Your Song": performed by Elton John, Eric Clapton & Bryan Adams "With a Little Help From My Friends": performed by Ringo with Elton John, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Jeff Lynne & Boy George "Wonderful Tonight": performed by Eric Clapton "While My Guitar Gently Weeps": performed by George Harrison with Ringo Starr. This historic performance was the first time that George & Ringo had performed together on stage in 16 Years (since the Concert for Bangladesh). "Saturday Night's All Right for Fighting": performed by Elton John with Bryan Adams & Eric Clapton. These discs are sold from one collector to another. No rights are given or implied.
