On top of this foundation, the workpiece is effectively trapped between a fixed fence and a slotted top plate that adjusts to handle stock up to 5-1/2" wide. Maximum workpiece thickness is 1-3/4". Unlike coping sleds that ride in the miter slot, Woodpeckers Coping Sled uses a guide that rides against the router fence…your material is square to the cutter whether the fence is parallel to the miter track or not.
