Description: Pre-Civil War Militia Officers Sword with Leather Scabbard. The ricasso appears unmarked. The grip, guard, and backstrap are tight. The leather grip is 50% complete and there is some dirt in the grooves on one side. The blade is straight, unsharpened, the tip is a little sharp, no nicks, and it has age spots scattered throughout with a tiny bit of surface rust. The leather scabbard is solid with some surface loss spots, one hole/weak spot, light crazing, and the stitching looks tight. The washer is intact. Length of the blade is 27 3/8" (1 3/8" wide and 3/8" thick), the sword is 32" and in the scabbard it is 32 3/4". Check out my other War items!! Including More Swords and Many Bayonets!!
