Good springs, easy to install Rated by Jakesrodandkustom on March 02, 2020 Summary: Overall these are pretty good springs I have nit driven too far on them because I am still working on lowering the back of the truck to match but so far so good. It moved the steering wheel position so i had to take the steering wheel off and realign that but that was the only issue I guess it does this because it moves the axle back a little but I saw no issue the wheels still fit in the fender nicely. Yes, I recommend this product. Great springs - Junk U-bolts. Rated by Joe on January 07, 2019 Summary: I purchased these springs and just finished installing them. The springs themselves are great. They are quality pieces that fit well and installed as expected to the chassis. The bushings were correctly sized and did not need to be reamed to fit the pins. They lowered the truck 2 1/2" from stock, but I expect it to settle a bit more as they break in. I have not yet driven it. On the other hand, the replacement shorter u-bolts were a joke. Total waste of time and material. The first issue was the diameter. The originals were 1/2" and the replacements were only 7/16". The second issue is that the original u-bolts were two different lengths. The front bolt is 1/2" longer to accommodate attaching the lower shock mount. The replacement bolts were just one length and too short to attach the shock mount. No shocks and undersized bolts might be fine for a trailer queen, but if you intend to drive it that is NO BUENO!!! The included nuts were Nylocks - fine for a garden trailer but not the correct nuts for automotive axle u-bolts. Posies should know better. I threw the hardware away and purchased quality custom u-bolts to mount the axle. Cons: U-bolts are too short and the wrong size. Pros: Fit as advertised. Yes, I recommend this product. Posies Super Slide Drop Springs Rated by Theodawg on September 08, 2018 Summary: I purchased a set of Posies Super Slide Drop Springs for my 55 Ford F-100 to replace the original springs. I havnt road tested the truck, only installed to check fit, then removed to paint, Ill update this review after the road test. Pros: At first glance the springs look very nice, well made. I love the stance of my truck after install. The old springs didnt have much spring left and the truck leaned to to one side. The new drop springs didnt cause my axle to move back and appears to be in the correct stock location. I havent found any steering issues by turning the steering wheel back and forth while on jack stands. Just a side note, I rebuilt my drag link, spindles, kingpins, hubs, and I am using all new installation hardware. Cons. The topside of the spring center bolt looked like it was hacked off with a set of bolt cutters, but wasnt an issue I needed to shorten it some to reuse my original u-bolt tie plate. It is recommended that you test fit the springs before painting, I did as they recommended. The springs are bare steel and shipped coated an some sort oil to keep them from rusting.
