Description: Here we have a really nice rare setup from the 1960s Popeye the sailor Man animated series (three bonus cells from same scene included).This lot features the rare character BRUTUS on a hand-painted background. This cell and background came out of the same production folder and the folder came in a group of animation cells and backgrounds from hanna-barbera, Fleischer, Popeye (1950s to 1970s). So this background could be episode matching but at the very least it's a 1960s to 1970s flasher / Hanna-Barbera studios Production background. Purchased from a very knowledgeable animation collector. As you can imagine stuff like this is very hard to find. PLEASE look at all pictures. The background has some small chunks missing around the edges other than that everything's in pretty good shape for its age.
