Description: This 1984 poster on semi-gloss paper is in very good condition. It's never been framed or exhibited, has no age spots or tears. It has 1/2 inch folds on three corners (see photos) that do not damage the work. The poster was made to announce the arrival of Pope John Paul II to Puerto Rico on Oct 2, 1984, the only papal visit ever made to the island. John Paul II died in 2005 and was succeeded by Pope Benedict, who passed away on Dec. 31, 2022. Artist Peter Due~nas designed the poster and signed it on the plate (see photo).
