Octavo, xxv + 258pp. Front board (with two endpapers) detached. Remainder of book, starting with title page, secure. Calf boards very worn; the spine also worn, with a small segment to the foot missing. Gilt bands and gilt swan design in compartments to the spine. Title lettering worn and partially obscured. Board edges very rubbed; corners bumped. Majority of the content quite heavily stained and foxed, although perfectly readable; from about page 205 to end is the most heavily fox-marked. A good working copy with 'a feeling of the period'; perhaps worthy of professional repair. Seller Ref: WB09
