Description: This is a 1996 Pleasant Company American Girl of Today, number 14. Also known as July Like You 14. This line of dolls was released in the Holiday Catalog of 1995. There were 20 dolls with 3 face molds, 5 eye colors, 5 hair colors and 3 skin colors. This #14 has dark brown hair, blue eyes, fair skin and uses the classic face mold. This doll with the dark brown wig is much harder to find than the light brown wig doll Number 7. In 1996, on Pleasant Company's 10th year anniversary some of the dolls had the small body tags that celebrate with the 1986 date. These show up on this line of dolls and on the historic dolls. Though not all the dolls made in all the production plants have them. This one says Made in Germany, some others say Made in China. This doll is wearing the second "Meet Outfit" called the First Day Outfit. It was introduced in 1996 and used through 1997. It has the yellow jacket, striped shirt, black leggings, teal socks, black shoes, a scrunchie and magenta underwear. I have included part of the accessories, the hat, purse, dollars, library card. Missing is the necklace. The torso fabric has a discoloration around the waist. This was from wearing the Pleasant company jeans outfit for years. I did unstuff the doll and washed the muslin but the line is still there.
