Description: Up for sale is a "Magnetic Flight Disk" or "Disc" as seen in the popular TV and Mini Series, Planet of the Apes. The original disk contained the exact flight details of the mission that brought three astronauts into the future and to the planet of the apes. During the first two episodes of the series, the astronauts risked their lives to retrieve the disk from their crashed space craft and eventually from a chimpanzee leader who unwittingly finds the disk which had been temporarily lost, only to be locked away in his personal collection of "artifacts". The disk literally begins and ends the series because the astronauts eventually use the disk to get back home. It is one of only a few futuristic props seen in the series and is my personal favorite.This disk was machined from aluminum based on screen captures from the first two episodes of the series, "Escape from Tomorrow" and "The Gladiators". The disk is polished and detailed with flat black paint just like the original.New details include: Precise placement of the three holes closer to the center, a thicker profile and slight weathering around the holes.
