Description: **** PITCAIRN ISLANDS **** 1959 MULTI-FRANKED COMMERCIAL COVER TO WEST GERMANY QEII 1957 Series ½d (PAIR), 1d, 2d stamps on SCARCE COMMERCIAL COVER Sc.#20, 21, 22, S.G. 18, 19, 20 TWO VERY LEGIBLE PITCAIRN POST OFFICE POSTMARKS (type 2.5) on 26 OCT 1959 ties the stamps on a 6¼" x 4¼" (160mm X 115mm) envelope to WELLSEE / KIEL, West Germany, a very unusual destination at the time. While the envelope was a little roughly opened at the top (see image), the stamps are in perfect condition. Fine and scarce commercial cover. The reverse is clean and unmarked.
