Description: Dave Bartholet is one of the most popular and living, Oregon Artists. To say that Dave Bartholet is a gifted watercolor artist would be a huge understatement. His specialty is wildlife watercolor paintings. I have met him personally. He would not know me, I was just a customer at his Seaside, Oregon Gallery. The art in this listing is in spectacular conditon. The compositon has captured the elk calling out in the early morning mist. The title is: "Pine Ridge Elk." If you have ever heard an elk bugle it is a sound you will not forget. It can be very chilling. I was about 20 feet from a huge male elk standing and hidden behind a thicket. Later I saw him with a herem of 20 females. Several times he called out to them (before they all gathered) It was so piercing in the early morning air that even to think about it sends goose bumps up my arms now. They are exceedingly powerful animals. They are also majectic. When frightened they are like a bull dozer articulating themselves through brush and thick undergrowth of the forest floor. This piece is beautifully framed with a l(ight to medium stained) oak frame. The colors really work beautifully together. This is an "Artist's Proof," #21 of only 100 in existence. I have looked at this art under high magnification. There are no pixilations at all. This is a gicl'ee on watercolor archival paper. The artist has signed his name in the lower right hand side of this painting. All measurements are found in the "condition description" section of this listing. The all wood frame and glass make this artwork heavy. I will package it very well for shipping. Shipping throughout the lower 48 states only. Shipping by: USPS., UPS., or FedEx., depending upon the delivery address. Thank you...
