Description: You will receive 25+ black Pigeon Pea seeds from my yard in SW Florida. These seeds grow into small trees/large bushes that produce for 2-4 years, usually once a year, but sometimes for many months. Mine produced in November/December after being planted in early spring here in SW Florida, and are still producing well into February. They can be eaten fresh or dried and stored for long-term storage and prepared like any dried bean/pea. They are a tropical plant and need protected from frosts. Germination is slow. Not appropriate for sprouting. Germination takes 2-3 weeks and needs warm, moist soil. Daytime temperatures need to be in high 70's and 80's or they may not germinate. Can be kept in large pots. Leaves are considered edible as well. Seeds will be shipped free regular first class mail in a standard letter envelope.
