Native clay found near the pottery was used to make thrown or slip cast wares finished with semi matte glazes and slip decoration. Watching the process of making pottery start to finish was a highlight for shoppers visiting the pottery. The production includes animal figurines as well a full line of functional wares. Many accomplished potters worked at Pigeon Forge Pottery Over time, the pottery became more successful and eventually was internationally known. Most of their pottery was marked and often times contained an artists signature as well. The pottery was closed around 2000 due to Anne's retirement and Douglas Ferguson's death I COMBINE SHIPPING - PLEASE WAIT FOR A COMBINED INVOICE - I WILL ALSO REFUND ANY EXCESS SHIPPING IF YOU PAY RIGHT AWAY I ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS AND USPS MONEY ORDERS - JUST ASK~~~~THE PICTURES ARE THE BEST DESCRIPTION.
