Description: 1993 Philips CDI 220/57 in partial working condition. The CDI 220/57 is a North American designated 220/40. If you refer to the charts there are many desirable traits in this model including 32kb of NV-RAM This unit was fully functional when it came to me. I made I mistake while modding the time keeper chip and installed the memory chip backwards. After I did this the front display and buttons are no longer functional. The Power button will turn the unit on and display like normal, but the CD tray is not opening and the buttons are non responsive. This could be a simple issue but I am unsure of where to start. On some power ups it will give a memory full error but there is nothing saved so it could be faulty memory.
