The Flyers won their second Stanley Cup in a row in 1975, defeating the Buffalo Sabres 4 games to 2. Flyers goaltender Bernie Parent won the Conn Smythe award as the Stanley Cup MVP. The Flyers were one of the first expansion teams to enter the league, in 1967, when six teams were added to the original six. The Flyers were the first expansion team to win a Stanley Cup, winning back to back in 1974 and 1975, before losing to the Montreal Canadiens in 1976. It would take another five years for an expansion team to win a cup, when an even newer expansion team, the New York Islanders won four straight starting in 1980. The pennant is in very nice overall condition, with some light creases, a few creases that are moderate, a thumb tack hole at the tip. and a bit of aging at the tip as well.
