Their professional Artist model clarinets were considered among the best U.S. made instruments and several professional clarinetists played them including Woodie Herman. We are offering this Penzel Mueller “Artist” model Bb clarinet. We estimate that this #17318 was made in the 1940s. This wonderful old instrument has been lovingly restored with new pads and corks. Mechanism tight, no cracks. Raw nickel silver key work. Has had some chipping at the bell ring professionally repaired. The bore is large (.590). In a new Pro Tec case. Comes with an earlier good hard rubber mouthpiece. $650 plus $25 shipping in the Continental U. S.
