Description: Being offered here are Volume 1 and Volume 2 of Pennsylvania German Pioneers A Publication of the Original Lists of Arrivals In the Port of Philadelphia From 1727 to 1808 by Ralph Beaver Strassburg and Edited by William John Hinke Published by Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. 1975 This is the Second printing and in Two Volumes. The Index to BOTH books is in Volume 2. Volume 1 - 1727-1775 Hardcover, 776 pages. Volume 2 - 1785-1808 plus the Indexes Hardcover, 709 pages including index. At one point both volumes were in a private collection. A name label can be found for both books on the front end paper. At some point they were donated to a library. Both volumes currently have library markings. The hardcovers of both Volume 1 and Volume 2 show wear, soiling, and fading from age and use. On page 8 in Volume 1 there is a name highlighted and inventory control notations are on front end paper in pencil but looking through the book I do not find any other apparent markings. On page 121 of Volume 2 there are two names highlighted but looking through this book I do not find any other apparent markings. Bindings to both books are intact.
