Description: "Peers of Great Britain, in their Parliamentary Robes". Probably engraved by Alexander Hogg around 1795. Those illustrated are A Duke, A Marquis, An Earl, and A Baron. No engraver, publisher or date are annotated. My attribution to Alexander Hogg and my circa date are inspired by the stylistic similarity to many other works by this publisher from the same period. It furthermore was purchased along with several other works by Hogg, all dated 1794 or 1795. Image = 7-1/2"W x 13-1/2"H. Paper = 9"W x 15-1/8"H. Foxing and tears to edges, largely outside of image area, as shown. Good condition for an original print from 1795, 225 years old.This should certainly be conservation framed for its preservation.
