Circa 1870 Antique Tintype Photograph; Portrait of a boy standing on a gingham cloth covered box. Next to him on the table is an ominous, big rock. Not sure who the star of the image is here--the serious young man documenting his presence with the rock or the big rock on the table. Crude props suggest an impromptu photograph opportunity or perhaps an itinerant photographer. The rock could be a fossil which would have been a find of status in those days.
