Description: This is a custom two figure lot tribute to two of my favorite characters on television, Tommy and Arthur Shelby on the Netflix series, Peaky Blinders. Tommy Shelby is played by Cillian Murphy (one of my favorite actors). Arthur Shelby is played by Paul Anderson. Murphy does a great, realistic job portraying the leader of a family of gangsters. Anderson is great as the muscle part of the business. The show takes place shortly after WWI in Birmingham England. The gang is mostly made up of Shelby's family and friends many of which fought together during WWI. That history together helps forge a bond like no other. The gang is called the Peaky Blinders. The story is based on the exploits of a real life gang in operation in that era. The popular theory on why the name peaky blinders is the gangs practice of stitching razor blades into the peak of their trademark flat hats. The gang was able to use their hat as a weapon to blind their adversary. A more realistic answer is simply the style of hat worn was nicknamed "peakys" due to the flat brimmed hat with a peak. This figure lot would make a nice addition to any collection. This figure lot was done mainly for display purposes. please note that while the figure lot does not look exactly like Murphy/Tommy Shelby or Anderson/Arthur Shelby there is a bit of a resemblance. the "faux watch" on both figures is just a chain.Tommy has a shoulder holster whith Arthur carries his weapons in his pants. sold as is. I started customizing figures a few years back because I couldn't find more than a handful of "official" releases and unable to find figures of people I wanted to collect. I checked in to the market of custom figures. Most of the custom figures available back then cost several hundred dollars, so, I started doing my own.
