As a Roman lad, he was kidnapped into slavery on the Emerald Isle, but miraculously escaped after some years, only to return as a priest and bishop to save its inhabitants from their slavery to the druidic cult. He is shown banishing the serpents, symbol of the devil, and bringing in the teachings of Christ, symbolized in the tri-leaved shamrocks. IMPORTANT: Each of the 3 sizes indicates outside dimensions. There is a border of white left around the image, approximately 1 1/2" to 2" all around.Signed by artist.
