Description: PATENTED DECEMBER 3RD, 1861 AQUA GLASS FRUIT JAR LID FROM MOORE'S CANNING JAR This is an antique aqua glass fruit jar lid from the old Moore's brand canning jar. This is just the lid, we don't have the jar. Aqua glass lid has embossed out lettering on the top that reads, "Patented Dec. 3d 1861". One of the top portions of the lid looks chipped. It looks to be in good condition overall otherwise for its age. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. Measures just over 2.5" in diameter. Bottom portion has a diameter of about 2 and 1/4". Wonderful old fruit jar lid would be a great find to place on the top of your Moores canning jar to complete it. Don't miss it.
