It comes with a wire loop that covers 14 - 54 MHz, but you can experiment with a longer or shorter loop and number of turns to move the frequency range higher or lower to match your needs and listening preferences. The handheld radio shown in our pictures at the top of this listing is used for demonstration only and is NOT included with the antenna. The antenna is a "receive only" device and does not require any batteries for operation. We also offer an amplified HF antenna in our Ebay store, but as with all amplified antennas, their weakness is that they can amplify household RF noise along with the desired incoming signal. The advantage of this antenna is that its passive nature and loop design makes it less susceptible to household RF noise over traditional whip or telescopic antennas.
