Description: ARGENTINA LADY & BULL DOG HENO DE PRAVIA JABON DE TOCADOR PAPER SOAP BOX THIS IS A LISTING FOR AN EMPTY BOX. The box dimensions are about 6 3/4 inches x about 3 3/8 inches x about 1 1/4 inches and weighs about 3 ounces. Inside the box sleeve is a very clean removable inner box with a three section partitioned removable liner for three soaps. Heno de Pravia Jabon de Tocador Paper Soap Box Argentina Lady & Bull Dog. This is an empty paper box which still has the lovely fresh scent of the Heno de Pravia soap aroma. This is a paper box with a beautiful period design of a well dressed woman or lady and a dog, possibly a French bull dog. The lady is wearing a red hat, jacket, shoes, lipstick, necklace and earring. She also wears a red and white striped flowing skirt, a white or cream blouse, and is holding a black bag or umbrella. The box has a white or cream background with black trim in the style of Art Deco or Art Nouveau. The dog carries a package which hangs from its neck by a string. On the package is written Madrid on the front and what looks like GAL on the side. Shadows of both figures are drawn underneath them. On the back of the box is printed Heno de Pravia and at the bottom is printed Industria Argentina Cont. Neto 3 Pastillas de 90 g c/u. The box is in good vintage condition. On the front a small piece of paper has been torn off, possibly where there was a label. There are some water or oil spots on the box in places. History of the company: Founded in Paravia, a town in northern Spain, Heno de Pravia has been producing quality beauty products for personal hygiene and skin care since 1905. In 1903, Salvador Echeandia, one of Perfumeria Gal co-founders, passed through the small village of Pravia, in Northern Spain. The farmers were cutting hay (heno) and grass for livestock. He was delighted by the scent of freshly cut hay. From that moment he was obsessed by making a perfume with that scent. He loved the aroma so much that when he returned to Madrid he reproduced the fragrance of the fresh mown grass, blending it with geranium, lavender and sandalwood. He colored the soap bar mossy green, wrapping it in yellow, the color of dried heno. The brand has been around for over 100 years and is loved worldwide. Perfumería Gal has been making Heno de Pravia, Spain's best selling soap, since 1905. Very relaxing to soak in a tub with the heavenly scent of Heno de Pravia soap filling the room with its clean, natural aroma. Nice to use as a vanity accessory or to add to an advertising collection.
