Description: For auction is a rare and hard to find vase that I am attributing to have been made by Pallme Koenig of Templitz, Austria which is now the modern day Czech Republic. I have a cranberry vase with white threading. The vase is tall as it stands 9 5/16" tall and is 6" in diameter at its widest point which is the bottom bilge measurement. The bottom has a diameter of 4" and the top opening 2 5/8" at its widest point. The vase displays a genie bottle shape with cinch ribbing. It has a cranberry iridescent base glass with applied white iridescent veining or threading throughout. The veining is in raised relief and you can clearly feel the threads when you rub you fingers over them. The veins run horizontally and vertically at an angle throughout the vase. Durand and Quezal wrapped even finer threads around their vases. Much of this threading was missing parts of the thread because of how fine these threads were. The Palme Konig vases had heavier threading or veining for the most part. There are sections in which the veining is quite thin. This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips or dings. There is minor loss to 2 threads that I could find and some inclusions (trapped sand) in the vase. These type vases were blown and cut from the top. The vase is not signed and more than likely had a paper label at one time. This style of décor has been commonly misidentified as Loetz but we know that Pallme Konig produced art glass lighting shades just like this décor. The shades are much more common than the vases Those of you who collect works of art from the Pallme Konig, Loetz or Bohemian glass factories, you will be very pleased with this vase. This is a Rare color in this pattern. Typically these are found in a green base glass. This vase was made circa 1900-1920. PLEASE READ BELOW I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July 2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for. They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12.35% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12.35%. This is an increase of 9.45% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12.35% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges. If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
