Description: This is a pair of antique oval tureens by John Maddock & Sons Ltd., manufactured in England long ago. I can not say specifically what year. The tureens feature a blue & gold pinstripe pattern on a large, white ceramic & porcelain body with a glossy finish, embodying a Victorian style. Each tureen includes a lid and gold handles, measuring 12 inches in length (handle to handle, inside bowl 9.75”) 7.5 inches in width, and 5 inches in height. Measurements are approximate, nit exact! These elegant pieces from the late 19th century are a fine addition to any collector's tableware collection. Paint is defect and pieces show signs of wear and age! There is pits in the bottom of each bowl. No evident cracks or chips but design has definitely worn off in many places but still a beautiful piece of history. Lids striping is in much better shape than bowls. Please zoom in on pictures.
