Description: The OS-3BOSE is a plug and play interface that allows for the replacement of a General Motors GMLAN factory radio. The interface will maintain operation of the vehicle's OnStar system, Bose amplifier and speakers. The OS-3BOSE has on-board switching to allow audio from the OnStar system to play through the two front factory speakers when OnStar is active. This interface also retains all warning chimes, the audible turn signal indicators, and the Vehicle Rear Parking Assist System (if equipped). Your rear seat audio headphone jacks will also remain active for use with dual zone radios. Note: The OS-3BOSE interface does not retain the factory XM receiver. You will lose the XM option when the factory radio is replace with an aftermarket head-unit. Compatibility: The OS-3BOSE interface is compatible with the following General Motors Vehicles using the GMLAN factory radio. Chevrolet: 2007 Suburban, Tahoe, Avalanche, Silverado (not classic) and 2006-2007 Monte Carlo, Impala GMC: 2007 Yukon Denali, Yukon, Sierra (not classic) Cadillac: 2007 Escalade (including ESV, EXT models and 5.1 audio system) Buick: 2006-2007 Lucerne Smart Mute Circuitry: The unit's built-in Smart Mute Circuitry will play OnStar through your vehicle's front speakers and allow the rear seat audio jacks to continue playing the source selected at the radio. Factory Steering Wheel Control Ready: The interface allows you to keep your factory OnStar steering wheel audio controls on Premium Bose vehicles and factory steering wheel radio controls via an optional PAC steering wheel remote adapter (SWI -X, JACK, ECL or PS), sold separately. RAP System Compatible: The interface allows your aftermarket radio to operate with your vehicle's RAP (Retained Accessory Power) system. The radio will stay on after the key is turned off and stays on for approximately 10 minutes or until the drivers door is opened. Switched Accessory Output: Once installed, the interface provides you with a +12V switched accessory output.
