Description: John Willys (pronounced Willis, by the way. Mostly, it is just us old car guys who know this.) bought Overland Automotive in 1908. Known mostly for Jeeps and the 1941 coup that has become a hotrodders dream, Willys-Overland hung on until August of 1963. But the legacy of their jeep image lives on and keeps on adding new converts to the classic design! Too bad Chrysler doesn't do a better job of making them. This plate is correct for some of the cars they made in the teen and early 20s years of the 1900s. It is said to be correct for 1915, 1916, 1917, 1918, 1920, 1921, 1922 Models K17, K19, K88-4, 88-6, 88-8, 20, 27 and 54. I make them about 3.5 by 1.7 inches, but can make them to your specifications as long as the proportions stay about the same. This one is printed on solid brass. I plan on making some that are deeply etched and they will be $75. Let me know if you want to go that route. Thank you!
