Overland Models, Inc. NS SD80MAC (ex. CR) f/p black w/white chevron stripes

Description: This is an O Scale OMI., NS SD80 MAC (ex. Conrail) factory painted black with white sill stripes or chevron's it has directional lighting as well as ditch lights . The model is numbered 7202 one of two numbers that were available as the only other number was 7213 as noted on the box label. When I first purchased this model I referenced this from Overland Models Inc., there were only 10 models of this Norfolk Southern version manufactured and this is model number 3 of 10 models. The model is 20" in length and has an excellent factory paint job as well as pad printed graphics and lettering. It also has factory turned brass flywheels with a Pittman can motor. Prototypically of what I know about this locomotive is that were the first model since the SD 45 series production locomotive to use the 20 cylinder engine and that they also had 5,000 horsepower. Conrail purchased 30 locomotives and after the breakup of Conrail, CSX's would receive 13 unit's and NS 17, of which NS would eventually acquire all 13 locomotives from CSX. Many of the NS SD80MAC's were re-built into SD 70ACU version. The photos are very reflective of this model up for auction produced from OMI. This NS SD 80MAC model from Overland Models Inc., is a fine scale model.
