Other chalks that are not clay based will leave a grease on cottons and other fabrics. Use clay chalks with light pressure and on wrong side of the fabric when possible. For sewing, tailoring, quilting, and upholstery. Also works on glass and vinyl, where other chalks do not. Due to the special triangle curved shape of this chalk a sharp marking edge is maintained. As with all products of this nature; pre-test on sample fabric before using. Markings become permanent once ironed or dry cleaned.
