This vintage football pennant measures approximately 30" x 12". This high-grade vintage sports pennant features stiffer white felt with red felt trim along the left edge, with red, orange and green graphics and lettering. The pennant also features the University of Oklahoma "Sooner Schooner". >History: the 1986 Orange Bowl was the 52nd edition of this college football bowl game, played at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida on Wednesday, January 1, 1986. The game matched the independent and top-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions and the #3 Oklahoma Sooners of the Big Eight Conference. Favored Oklahoma trailed early but won, 25-10. Coach for the Lions was Joe Paterno, while the Sooners were led by Barry Switzer. <>Condition: the pennant is in very *Fine Shape* overall, exhibiting only minimal age/handling faults...nice!!! The pennant's tip is solid! The pennant's graphics and text remain strong and vivid! I don't see any tack holes from prior display! Extremely crisp & clean pennant that's approaching forty years old!
