Description: Brooklyn based artist Gala Krystyniak was born in Baku and was influenced from an early age by the artand colors of the multi-cultural Caucasus region that straddles Europe and Asia. Although she beganformal art training at an early age, ultimately, she went to engineering school and on to a career as acivil engineer designing infrastructure projects. She subsequently emigrated to the UnitedStates, settled in Brooklyn, and embarked on a career in healthcare. Gala rediscovered her art as a way to adjustto her new surroundings. She began painting again, first for her own enjoyment and later working onprivate commissions. After much encouragement from family friends and happy customers, Gala decided to put together thissmall, 12-piece original watercolor collection of 6x6 paintings. Some paintings are Gala’s personal takeon pieces she admires; others are her whimsical interpretations of Caucasian folk art. All pieces in the collection are original hand painted artworks, individually signed by the artist, on 100%cold pressed cotton 300 GSM acid-free archival quality paper using White Nights SPB artist qualitywatercolors.
