Description: Original Vintage Zarebski Mayan Aztec Smiling Face 1960s Mexico Original Rare find. In excellent condition Michael Anthony Zarebski's was a famous artist who lived in Cuervavaca Mexico and made these art pieces in the1960-70s. His artwork featured Maya and Aztec inspired wall plaques, figurines and sculptures, made from his signature Malachite compound. This mixture was made with resin, and crushed green, yellow, brown, turquoise Malachite stone and other fine minerals such as onyx and alabaster. This beautiful Vintage Zarebski plaque was made in the early 1960s. It features a mounted Aztec/Mayan God smiling head, mounted to a walnut board. The stone is made with a very beautiful dark turquoise color Malachite stone. Malachite is the essence of joy and is known as the "stone of transformation" because it helps reveal and heal emotional pain by absorbing the pain into itself. The piece comes with an authentication paper that reads: “Original Zarebski. Marca Registrada. Elaborado Por Industrias Zarebski Cuernavaca, Morelos. Hecho en Mexico / Made in Mexico”. This piece is perfect for wall hanging as Mexican art decor. Condition: Excellent. The wood and resin haven’t cracked over the years.
