Description: Original 1960s SNOKIST pear box/apple crate label. This label was made after 1965 when Yakima Valley's two largest cooperatives Blue Ribbon and Big Y Growers merged to form Snokist. Label pays homage to these firms the blue ribbon S and snowflake made of Ys of the Big Y. It was used for pears from growers all throughout the Yakima Valley in the various packing plants the Snokist Growers in Yakima, Washington and other places like Sawyer, Buena, Naches, Kennewick, etc. Red box on this label for fancy grade pears.
