Description: Beautiful Original Signed Antique 1924 Architectural Rendering / Architectural Drawing In Red Pencil - Riverside New Jersey Grammar School This absolutely beautiful piece is an original architectural rendering by Herbert Otto Ziegler for a Riverside New Jersey Grammar School.The piece is expertly done with artistic flourishes and details including students/teachers rushing across campus, beautiful trees, and the wonderful building complete with old glory up on the flag pole billowing in the breeze. The piece is signed by the artist/architect on the bottom left hand corner: Herbert O Ziegler Archt. At the center is the name of the subject: Riverside New Jersey Grammar School, and on the bottom right hand corner it is dated Dec 1924. This beautiful nearly 100 year old piece has a lovely antique frame to match. The simple gilded frame is in good condition, but shows signs of age and wear commensurate with its advanced age. The drawing itself shows signs of age, including staining/foxing and some crinkling of the paper, but it just adds that gorgeous antique charm. Whether you collect original antique architectural renderings or want something special for a gallery wall or as a stand alone piece for your wall, this would be a wonderful piece. We were not able to find much about the architect other than an entry on a genealogy website. According to those records he was born in Philadelphia on April 17, 1890 and died in June of 1965 and buried in Cinnaminson, NJ (a town neighboring Riverside). It lists his occupation as architect and noted that he also designed two mansions in Delanco while he was studying for his degree. It claims that one of the mansions was for his brother Walter. Based on the information here, we believe this must be our architect/artist!
